Fliggity Review and Coupon Code!

Does your child like to think that they are a superhero or a butterfly? Can you picture your child running around the yard with a cape flapping behind them? Then Fliggity is a great store for you to check out. They offer a ton of designs of shirts to capture the childs imagination. Let your little one be a superhero, or a bat when you put the shirt on them.

They have shirts that let the world know how old your child is, they have stylish superhero duds, tye dye shirts and onsies, and shirts that FLY! My little hero was sent a superhero shirt from Fliggity in the shooting start pattern. It is just so cute to see on my little man. It provides endless laughs in my home. At 15 months he is really too young to realize he is wearing a super hero shirt, but we all know and it is just the cutest!

I highly recommend this site to anyone that wants their child to have a little fun with their clothes. They are well made and really nice. I do recommend you to order a size bigger. They tend to run a little small!

Fliggity is also offering my readers a special discount coupon! For the month of December just enter the coupon code fliggityDEC for an extra 20% off your order. This offer is good until 12/31!

Warm Biscuit Bedding Company Review

I discovered a very whimsical little store called Warm Biscuit Bedding Company bedding company! They have so many cute items. It is the perfect store for all your children’s Christmas shopping needs! I was lucky enough to receive a personalized storage bin! It is the handiest thing. I have it holding all of my sons shoes (trust me when I say I got shoe overboard!) It is so convenient, versatile and cute! I chose the denim paint with yellow accents with the plane decoupage and his name. It just couldn’t be any cuter!! I am so happy with it. It is also durable and I have a feeling will hold up for a very long time and can take all the dings my rough and tumble little boy throws at it.
You can add any colors or decoupages you would like.

I don’t know about you but I just love personalized things, and Warm Biscuit Bedding Company offers a huge assortment of that. You can get a ton of different furniture that is personalized. They have so many fun toys and even have a toy boy that looks like a treasure chest! Is that not a really neat idea. So please if you are looking for the perfect gift this holiday season, check out Warm Biscuit Bedding Company! You will love it and find everything you need. Of that I am sure!

Warm biscuit is also offering a contest on their blog for a monogrammed stocking! It is open until 11/30. Check it out Here.

a new word!

This one really surprised me. This morning he was crawling on his Christmas gift and I told him I could not open it because it was for Christmas. He looked at me and said just as plain as day "CHRISTMAS"! So cute!!

Oh! Toys Review

This is an awesome contest in time for Christmas! Oh! Toys has one simple purpose, “to find cool toys that are hard to find.” What I personally love about this site, is that it offer simpler toys than you would find in your bigger stores. It offers marble runs, construction toys, spinning tops, magnetic toys, puzzles, and musical toys. Not those toys with all the flash but no imagination. I love to think of my son playing things that are going to stimulate his imagination and allow him to grow instead of the toys that just make a lot of noise.

I received lots of great toys to tell you all about! CUBORO is a wooden marble game that can bring hours of pleasure to your whole family. Oh! Toys describes Cuboro as “Cuboro is truly a "heritage toy" -- one which not only can be passed from one generation to the next, but which children will come back to time and again as they grow and become more sophisticated about their creations.”

RUCK + ZUCK is a wonderful imagination toy!! These characters can be made into anything that your child wants them to be. Trust me, we learn in nursing school that a childs job is using their imagination by play. This is how children learn and grow…so in my opinion this toy is just perfect. I have it put away until my son is old enough to play with it. I just cannot wait for that day! The site describes saying, “For over eighty years, Kellner Steckfiguren toys have entertained children and families in Europe. Combining amusing and cleverly designed beechwood, plastic and cloth pieces, this classic system truly puts the child (or grown-up) in charge of where the play and creativity go. There are deliberately no instructions or restrictions placed on your imagination.”

The WRITING TOP is something that took me back to my childhood days. This is something that I would have been totally into. Everyone said I never went anywhere without a really cool pencil in my hands. Think about it. You can spin this top and write; there would have been nothing cooler to me as a little girl. Think of the possibilities with some colored pencils!!

The XYLOBA PICCOLINO is another really neat item! It is a marble run that makes music! Is that not just the neatest? You can build it up to create all kinds of mazes and music! I truly think that this is something my son will adore when he is older. He is a very auditory little man, and it is probably the sense that he uses the most!! I cannot wait for him to have a wonderful time with this.

Last but not least, we have the classic top! This reminds me of something my grandfather would have made for me. Which child (okay so not children born now because they are too overwhelmed with all of the electronic gadgets now a days) did not spend countless hours twirling a top on the pavement? I just love it, and love to imagine my little boy enjoying some of the simpler pleasures in his life!

Well, now that you absolutely know my opinion on this store and the product they have to offer, I will get on to the contest!! Oh! Toys is offering one lucky reader a $25 gift certificate to their store. I need to you head on over to Oh! Toys and tell me which item you think a little loved on in your life would enjoy! Ends on 12/1 10PM EST. Please be sure to leave a valid email addy.

Spread Shirt Review

Do you like wearing clothes that are not just like everyone else’s? Do you have a pattern in mind that would make the perfect item for a loved one or yourself? Maybe a witty saying that only you and your honey would understand? Put it on a shirt, hoodie, or hat! Spread Shirt has the most amazing products!! They have soooooo soooooo many designs available. Let me tell you, I spent two hours browsing and still did not see all they had to offer.

I decided to make myself a super cute long sleeve tee. I found a tee that I liked but it only went up to an XL, and with me liking to wear my shirts baggy…that just would not cut it. So, I found myself another shirt that would fit me, located the pattern I wanted and “created” it myself!! Now, I have the cutest brown shirt with a medical symbol on the bottom of it! It’s so perfect for a casual day OR to pair with my scrub bottoms for work! While I was at it, I went ahead and picked up a baseball cap for my nephew for Christmas. I am totally happy with it, and am sure he will just love it!

This site is one that I am definitely adding to my favorites. It is so great for your self or to buy a loved on a meaningful Holiday present! I am a HUGE fan of purchasing personalized gift because I think those usually come from the heart!

Head on over to Spread Shirt and check out their huge selection of:
• Women's T-shirts
• Junior's Tees
• Tanks
• Long sleeve shirts
• Polo Tees
• Hooded Sweatshirts
• Zip Hoodies/Jackets
• Underwear
• Plus Size
• Eco-Friendly Tees
• Bottoms
I promise you will not be disappointed for a minute. I do have to add that in my opinion the shirt I received ran a bit small. Thankfully I ordered one size up, so if you like things to give you a little room, I do recommend ordering a size bigger than normal!

See Kai Run Contest!

Its time for another See Kai Run giveaway! As you probably already know See Kai Run has totally sold me! I absolutely love these shoes. They are so fashionable for that little man or girl in your life and they are comfortable for them. They have flexible soles for growing feet and they are made extra wide. The extra width allows for the chubbiest feet like my little man. I swear sometimes his feet look as wide as they are long to me! I do not plan on ever spending money on another brand of shoes, See Kai Run is the best there is for my little guy! Sooo….for the contest!!

We have a pair of Mike shoes in a size 7. These are so cute for the winter months ahead.

We have a cute pink pair of boots, the Julie in a size 3. They have the cutest brown, pink, and green swirls on the side.

These are the most adorable little boy’s shoes, the Paul in a size 5. My son has these same shoes in another color and they are so easy to get on and off and my son just loves stomping around in them.

Smashies- Squeezable Applesauce

My son loves applesauce. That and bananas are about the only fruit I can get him to eat. A wonderful company named Smashies contacted me about a review and I am so happy that they did!! These are squeezy applesauce pouches that have no high fructose corn syrup and no added sugar. I think they are such a neat idea because they are easy to throw in the diaper bag and hand to my baby in the car! Even at 15 months old he knows how to eat these. They are the most convenient and healthy snack that I can add to little mans diet. To make it even better he LOVES them! He was getting ready for a snack and I took him into the pantry and asked him what he wanted. Do you know he pointed to the Smashies before he did the teddy grahams? If you are a mom like me that loves convenience but also to have their child eat healthy Smashies is a product you need to buy! I personally will be ordering more!

Monave Review and Contest!

I think it is pretty obvious by now that I am a beauty and product junkie! Yet again, I have discovered a company that is great!! Monave has so many wonderful products to try!

I got to try the rosemary hair tonic that smells really nice and leaves my hair soft, shiny, and smelling great!

The honey clay cleanser is wonderful. It is for the most sensitive skin that cannot handle normal soap cleansers. This product is soap free and the best thing about it in my opinion is that it can also be used as a mask! Anything that serves double duty is my friend!

The Rose Daily Moisture Cream is also nice, but I do use it for night time. I find it a teeny bit too heavy for my day wear. It has a really nice scent to it as well and leaves my skin glistening.

The mineral foundation goes on very smoothly and covers my skin very well. You do not see any of the rudiness that is usually my complexion when I am wearing this.

The lip glosses glide on very smoothly and you never even feel like you are wearing them. They look very shiny and pretty though.

Monave stands for "Modern", "Natural", and "Versatile.” This is exactly what Monave is! It is also economical. I have looked on HUNDREDS of other makeup sites and in my opinion Monave offers the best value for your money. They also have tons of shades for many ethnic backgrounds; so if you have had problems finding your perfect shade, give MONAVE a try!!

WIN IT!
Monave has offered one reader a code for a $25 gift certificate! At their prices $25 goes a looong way! Please leave me a comment and tell me which you would like to win and also visit their site and tell me one more saying or design they offer on their site (not mentioned here) that you like. Two winners will be chosen…one pair each. Ends on 11/27 10PM EST. Please be sure to leave a valid email addy.

As a nurse, it is important to have comfy things on my feet. I have discovered a wonderful website called SockGuy! They have the most amazing socks that are so comfortable!! I wasn't very brave!

I really did not have the nerve to do anything too drastic to my babies hair. So we just got a teensy weensy trim, and it looks about a thousand times better, but he still looks like my baby!! What do you think? Should I have been a little more brave?

Review of Soft Star Shoes!!

Okay this one is for all my moccasin loving parents out there. I have tried a lot of those types of shoes because they don’t fall off your little ones feet. Well, no longer will I be spending my money at those other stores. I have fallen in love with this company. I contacted Soft Star when I happened across them and they have some really amazing products. They were generous enough to send me a pair of suede grippy roos for my little man (see the picture below for the pair I chose). These shoes HAVE to be amazingly comfortable for him! They are sooo soft….and okay ladies this is where they blow the other brands out of the water…..THEY HAVE SHEEP SKIN WOOL SOLES!!! This wool provides warmth in the winter, and dryness and extra padding in the summer. This was honestly my favorite feature of the shoes! The sole is made out of soft rubber fabric and not actual rubber so this allows flexibility for little growing feet! You would not believe the amount of parenting magazines these shoes are featured in. For them to get this much hype, you know they are wonderful!!

So, if that is not GREAT enough Soft Star allows you to DESIGN your own shoes!! AND they even have zebra print patterns. Now tell me that just isn’t the coolest? They even have ADULT SHOES!!! Oh my goodness, I soooo want a pair now. I just want to put them on my feet and see if they feel as good as I know they must!! ….and yes, you can design your own adult shoes as well.

WIN IT!!

I know by now, you are almost hopping out of your chair to try these, right? Well, Soft Star has sent me a gift certificate for $20 to their store. It could be yours if you leave me a comment telling me one of the magazines Soft Star was featured in. Ends on 11/19 10PM EST. Please be sure to leave a valid email addy. To receive extra entries either: blog about this giveaway with a link back here, subscribe to my blog, follow this blog, email three friends and CC it to nursemommypaige@yahoo.com, or add my **NEW** button to your sidebar! Leave a separate comment for all you do. If you purchase any item from Soft Star while this contest is going on leave me three comments telling me you did so for five extra entries.

Contest for one sized Cloth Diaper and cover from Mother-ease

I have always been interested in trying cloth diapers. You hear all the benefits to using cloth versus disposable, but I admit to using disposables. One thing I hate about the disposable diapers is the chemicals that are in them. They have sodium polyacrylate and are chemically treated. It has been shown that over time these chemicals can cause problems for a person, however, no real long term studies have been completed on this subject. It does however make you ask yourself if even the most minuscule risk is worth it for your precious baby. Also, cloth diapers are so much better for the environment. Did you know that “From birth to toilet training each child will use approximately 5,300 disposable diapers. It takes 440-880 lbs. of fluff pulp and 286 lbs. of plastic (including packaging) per year to supply a single baby with disposables. They are the 3rd largest single product in the waste stream behind newspapers and beverage containers.”

I have tried this wonderful company called Mother-ease! They have such a wide selection of cloth diapers as well as covers. They use 100% green power and offer a new line of 100% organic diapers. Now that is something that will make you happy to put on your baby. Using the Mother-ease one size diapers will also save you a lot of money in the long run. I won’t tell you just how much right now because that is for later. Really, if you are like me and interested in trying cloth diapers, I highly recommend Mother-ease. The cloth diaper was not as much as a pain as I anticipated it being. I mean really, its just another load of laundry..and who doesn’t do a lot of laundry with a baby. It is well worth the cost savings, saving our environment, and protecting our babies from harmful chemicals. The one sized diaper fits from 8-35 pounds.

WIN IT!

Would you like to try a Mother-ease One size diaper for your little one? I have one diaper, the cover, and the liner to give away. I need you to head on over to their site and tell me how much money you could save over a 2 ½ year period using the one sized cloth diapers. Ends on 11/19 10PM EST. Please be sure to leave a valid email addy. Tomorrow tomorrow..

So, tomorrow little man is getting a hair cut! :( I am so sad about it. I love his little curls but do not love the little rats nest that goes with it. Anyone else have a hard time parting with their little boys hair?

resemblance?

This is a picture of my lil man, me and my dad (who passed away a couple weeks before lil man was born) all at about the same age, though I think my son is a little younger.

Table Toppers from Neat Solutions

Okay, ladies this is quite honestly one of the COOLEST items I have ever reviewed. About a month ago, sitting in a restaurant with my son and having him eat off the table I had a conversation with my sister in law that we really need to invent like a plate that clips on to the table so that he could eat without me being all grossed out about the germs he was putting in his mouth….or without the plate shattering on the ground when he threw it across the room. Then a friend of mine had a contest to win table toppers! I just knew that was the answer I had been waiting on! When I didn’t win that contest I had to contact Neat Solutions myself to review their product and I have been sooo pleased! We have used our table toppers twice and they are great. They cover a large area and try as my little man might, he has been unable to pull the off because the adhesive is really strong. They have fun patterns and pictures for your little one to enjoy and leaves them germ free! The added bonus for me is that after he is done chowing down, I just fold the table topper up and all the crumbs and ickiness goes with it. This is one invention that I truly wish I had thought of!!!

WIN IT!

Neat Solutions has offered one winner a package of table toppers. All I need you to do is head on over to their site and tell me one product besides the table toppers that you would love to try. Ends on 11/13 10PM EST. Please be sure to leave a valid email addy. TOMtotes Review

Are you looking for a discrete solution to having to carry your personal items to the bathroom? TOMtotes are the answer for you then! I personally think they are the best idea for middle school and high school girls. Do you remember the embarrassment of having to sneak and pad or tampon into the bathroom without any of the boys noticing? Well, now they can grab this nifty TOMtotes and the clueless boys will just think that it is a makeup bag!!

These are the cutest little things, and are very well made. The patterns are very young and whimsical too! I highly recommend TOMtotes for any woman that wants a discrete way to carry their girly items to the bathroom!
