Oh! Toys Review

This is an awesome contest in time for Christmas! Oh! Toys has one simple purpose, “to find cool toys that are hard to find.” What I personally love about this site, is that it offer simpler toys than you would find in your bigger stores. It offers marble runs, construction toys, spinning tops, magnetic toys, puzzles, and musical toys. Not those toys with all the flash but no imagination. I love to think of my son playing things that are going to stimulate his imagination and allow him to grow instead of the toys that just make a lot of noise.

I received lots of great toys to tell you all about! CUBORO is a wooden marble game that can bring hours of pleasure to your whole family. Oh! Toys describes Cuboro as “Cuboro is truly a "heritage toy" -- one which not only can be passed from one generation to the next, but which children will come back to time and again as they grow and become more sophisticated about their creations.”

RUCK + ZUCK is a wonderful imagination toy!! These characters can be made into anything that your child wants them to be. Trust me, we learn in nursing school that a childs job is using their imagination by play. This is how children learn and grow…so in my opinion this toy is just perfect. I have it put away until my son is old enough to play with it. I just cannot wait for that day! The site describes saying, “For over eighty years, Kellner Steckfiguren toys have entertained children and families in Europe. Combining amusing and cleverly designed beechwood, plastic and cloth pieces, this classic system truly puts the child (or grown-up) in charge of where the play and creativity go. There are deliberately no instructions or restrictions placed on your imagination.”

The WRITING TOP is something that took me back to my childhood days. This is something that I would have been totally into. Everyone said I never went anywhere without a really cool pencil in my hands. Think about it. You can spin this top and write; there would have been nothing cooler to me as a little girl. Think of the possibilities with some colored pencils!!

The XYLOBA PICCOLINO is another really neat item! It is a marble run that makes music! Is that not just the neatest? You can build it up to create all kinds of mazes and music! I truly think that this is something my son will adore when he is older. He is a very auditory little man, and it is probably the sense that he uses the most!! I cannot wait for him to have a wonderful time with this.

Last but not least, we have the classic top! This reminds me of something my grandfather would have made for me. Which child (okay so not children born now because they are too overwhelmed with all of the electronic gadgets now a days) did not spend countless hours twirling a top on the pavement? I just love it, and love to imagine my little boy enjoying some of the simpler pleasures in his life!

Well, now that you absolutely know my opinion on this store and the product they have to offer, I will get on to the contest!! Oh! Toys is offering one lucky reader a $25 gift certificate to their store. I need to you head on over to Oh! Toys and tell me which item you think a little loved on in your life would enjoy!
